Contacting Us:
After a significant
business disruption, you should be
able to contact us as you usually do: 410-286-5475, fax 410-286-5476
or our website at http://www.jsquare.biz/ or http://www.fandldevelopment.com/ . If necessary, our offices will be relocated to a site outside of the geographic area of the business disruption and selected from a list
of pre-designated sites in our formal Business Continuity Plan. Arrangements have been completed to transfer our phone numbers to that location on the day that the business disruption occurs. If you cannot access us by any of these means, please contact us at the posted phone numbers that will be listed on either of our websites should such business disruption occur. An authorized responder will be able to handle the services of accessing your account or work project, enter work orders and process other business related, transactions for you.
Our Business Continuity Plan –
We plan to: 1.) quickly recover and resume normal business operations after a significant business disruption; 2.) respond by safeguarding our employees
and property; and, 3.) make a financial and operational assessment, protecting the firm’s books and records, and allowing our customers to transact business.
In short, our business continuity plan is designed to permit our firm to resume operations as quickly as possible, given the scope and severity of the significant business
disruption.
Our business continuity plan addresses data back up and recovery; all mission critical systems; financial and operational assessments; alternative communications with customers,
employees, and regulators; alternate physical location of employees; critical suppliers, contractors, bank and regulatory
reporting; and assuring our customers prompt access to the status of their business relationships and our plan B if we are unable to continue our business for an extended time. Our Policies and Procedures activity requires that we back up our important records daily and transport that data to a geographically separate area. While every emergency situation poses unique problems based on external factors, such as time of day and the severity of the disruption, our Business Continuity Plan’s objectives are to restore operations and be able to complete existing transactions and accept new transactions and A/R or A/P payments within a reasonable period of time. It is possible that your orders and requests for services could be delayed during this period but the plan is to reduce or eliminate a business disruption. Significant business disruptions can vary in their scope, such as only our firm, a single building housing our firm, the business district where our firm is located, the city where we are located, or the whole region. Within each of these areas, the severity of the disruption can also vary from minimal to severe. In a disruption to only our firm or a building housing our firm, we will transfer our operations to a local site when needed and expect to recover and resume business within a reasonable period of time. In a disruption affecting our business district, city, or region, we will transfer our operations to a site outside of the affected area, and recover and resume business within the same time period. In either situation, we plan to continue in business, transfer operations to one of our pre-designated and tested alternate locations if necessary,
and notify you through either of our web sites at http://www.jsquare.biz/ or http://www.fandldevelopment.com/
on how to contact us. If the significant business disruption is so severe that it prevents us from remaining in business, we will assure our customer’s prompt access to their accounts and records.
Potential of Flu Pandemic such as Avian Flu Statement – Recognizing that flu pandemic is not a “normal” business risk, our planning has focused on augmenting our existing
plans and practices to take into account the following aspects:
Our Firms are continually reviewing many strategic options as part of our business continuity planning, such as: assigning associates and management staff and other personnel responsible for critical processes to multiple geographically dispersed locations, providing personnel with electronic access to work from home where appropriate, and assessing ways to make our facilities more biohazard resistant.
